Rock Mechanics Laboratory

FF GeoMechanics has a rock mechanics laboratory with the latest equipment, calibrated by CESMEC (Bureau Veritas)
and with accredited professionals according to NCh-ISO-17025: 2005 regulations.

Sample Preparation
・Preparation of test pieces from the witnesses (Cutting, Rectification).
・Preparation of rock core specimens from boulders (cutting, grinding and polishing).

Non-destructive Tests
・Unit weight (bulk density) of rock
・Moisture content and porosity of rock
・Pulse velocity (Vp and Vs) and dynamic elastic constants
・Wave speed (Vp and Vs).
・Determination of elastic dynamic modulus.
